Back to the trail today! It’s my birthday, so it was hot and muggy as per usual. Despite being delayed in Ashland, we discovered we were not the only ones, and most of our hiking crew left last night or late this morning as well. This means we will be leapfrogging with friends over the next few days, which is fun. Despite being in Oregon, water conditions in the trail are a bit dry, so we had a long water carry in the afternoon. We stopped after 18.5 miles to have dinner and set up camp. There are tons of mosquitos so we fled to the tent early. It looks like we could possibly get a little rain tonight!
