We are busy finalizing our preparations! Bags are packed, belonging are in storage, and tomorrow we make the three hour drive to Amicalola State Park in Georgia. We will spend tomorrow night at the lodge there, then start hiking on Wednesday March 30th. Looks like rain!
I will be posting pictures (and some words) here on days with enough service. We also have a GPS locator beacon that will be tracking while we are in motion and are able to get a clear GPS signal. Our tracks are updated on a map, and I have included the link on the “Where are We?” page. This will be updated in near real-time even when we have no cell service.
