About/Start Here

Welcome! We are Megan and Paul. In 2016, we quit our jobs to thru-hike the 2,190 mile Appalachian Trail. The journey took six months. We loved it so much we kept going, hiking the 2,600 mile Pacific Crest Trail in 2017 and the 3,000 mile Continental Divide Trail in 2018. Together we have hiked over 8,000 miles, sleeping outside for hundreds of nights.

Real life beckoned, and we had to go back to work eventually. For the past few years, as we’ve been working full-time, we’ve been doing smaller thru-hikes, short backpacking trips and overnighters, and we started bikepacking as well. In 2026, we are embarking on a new adventure, cycling from Alaska to Arizona. Starting in July, we will be posting regular updates of our journey.
