Day 32: Trail Magic and Geocaching

This morning I had a 400 calorie muffin and a 200 calorie granola bar for breakfast. 2.4 miles later, we ran into some trail magic! I had a sausage biscuit with cheese, green juice, a package of little Debbie’s Swiss rolls, and a donut (plus a bottle of coke for the road). It also happened to be a geocaching event, with several geocachers there, one even had a trackable tattoo! Paul had a great time of course, and we found an actual cache only about a mile later. We hiked 13.6 miles to a campsite, and amazingly we are alone (this is the first time on the AT). Our tent has started leaking and it is supposed to rain tonight, so we rigged up the ground cloth as an extra rain tarp. Just as we got to camp we heard thunder, but still had time for a fire and most of dinner before it actually started raining. We are camped near another geocache, so we’ll try to find it in the morning!

      1. Isn’t that the Seedhouse? The one that was new on our Aravaipa trip? Why does it seem like you just got that thing. Am I getting old? Is this real life??!!!!? (Have you ever seen that youtube video?)

        1. Is it the kid after the dentist? Yeah it’s a 2 year old tent, also been to organ pipe twice, mt lemmon several times, chiricahuas, Tucson mtn park, mt hood, and over a month on the trail, so it’s gotten a lot of use and needs to be resealed and waterproofed

  1. Maybe a new tattoo for PJ…then we can track him…..lolol……almost anniversary day. May the fourth be with you…love you guys….πŸ‘½πŸ‘ΎπŸ‘½πŸ‘Ύ
