Despite a weather forecast that said no rain, it rained all night long. Fortunately it stopped by morning, and the sun came out enough by lunch for us to dry our gear out a bit. The terrain was harder than we expected today, some tough uphills and a lot of rocks with plenty of mud leftover from the rain. We made 16.4 miles, so not too bad all things considered. I saw lots of birds today so that was cool. Aside from the usual robins and dark eyed juncos, there were rose breasted grosbeaks, indigo buntings, and tons of eastern towhees.
