Our rain free streak lasted all of 36 hours or so. It rained in the night, again not in the forecast, but it had at least stopped by morning. We had a really easy morning and made 6 miles in the first 2 hours. We caught a bit more rain in the afternoon, but nothing too crazy. The last 3 miles of the day were very rocky, which slowed us down a bit and gave us sore feet, but we still got to camp early enough to relax and even hang in the hammock for a bit. We hiked 15.4 miles today, which leaves us under 10 miles into Pearisburg tomorrow for a shower and all you can eat Chinese food! It’s not supposed to rain tonight, but we’ll see.
Living the hammock photo!
Paul is looking a little like Tarzan or maybe John the Baptist
Who is that dude in the hammock with you? Jesus? John the Baptist?
Haha, there is a John the Baptist on the trail!
