We had a crazy storm last night. The rain came down harder than I’ve ever experienced in a tent. It was so loud it drowned out the sound of the thunder. I put on my earplugs once I was ready for sleep. It was still raining in the morning but didn’t come down hard or last very long. We hiked 17 miles today, and aside from very few sprinkles it hasn’t rained despite being cloudy most of the day. It’s still pretty muggy out but has cooled off some. We crossed the Blue Ridge Parkway a few times today and will continue to do so for the next few days.
