This morning we woke up and hiked a few miles to the Skyland Resort, where we got coffee and croissants plus turkey sandwiches to carry out for lunch. We took the coffee to go as well, and Paul got some funny looks from day hikers walking with his poles in one hand and drink in the other. We ate lunch at a picnic area a few miles later with other hikers. In the afternoon all of us hiked together, enjoying the views, spotting a bear, and finding a spot to camp. We hiked over 18 miles today. We are under 5 miles from another wayside, so breakfast will be our motivator in the morning! It will be our last day in Shenandoah National Park. Well miss the abundant food, but not the abundant cars and people.
