Today was another rainy day, mostly a light rain until near the end of the day. We walked 14 miles, still taking it easy because my knee still hurts, hobbling toward Hanover where I’ll definitely need a few days off trail to rehabilitate before we tackle the Whites. We came to a road crossing with a store where we stopped to eat, and nearby locals allow hikers to sleep in their barn loft. We’re drying out, enjoying free wifi and relaxing under a dry roof.
