We woke up early this morning and Johnny drove us back to Hanover, where we got a croissant from the bakery before finishing the walk through town and heading back to the woods. We walked just under 17 miles today, and felt every bit of it after four days off. Luckily the weather was nice as we climbed over 2 mountains, the first being Moose Mountain. It had 2 peaks and nice views with a gentle climb. The second mountain had no name but it was steep and the climb felt endless. We got some trail magic today from a former thru-hiker, seeing him at 2 different road crossings. We made it to camp around dusk, a bit tired but glad to be back in the woods.
