It’s officially fall, and we could tell today. It was a chilly morning. I heard it was 40 degrees overnight, and today a cold wind blew most of the day. However, it was clear and sunny, and we got our first views to Katahdin. Seeing the finish line so close really made it start to sink in that this journey is almost over. The terrain was mostly flat today, so we made very good time, putting in 26.7 miles by 6 pm. It’s dark by 7 now so we really made good use of the available daylight. We’re 33 miles from the top of Katahdin now, and about 18 miles from the end of the Hundred Mile Wilderness.
Go go go. Unbelievable!
