This morning we woke up early, returned to the campground store for coffee and pastries, and got back on the trail to enter Baxter State Park. We hiked ten relatively flat miles to the Katahdin Streams Campground, just five miles from the top. Although we tried to hike slowly, we got here by 1pm. We saw many hikers coming down from the mountain, which adds to our excitement about tomorrow. We had our last campfire and ate our last dinner in the woods. It might rain tomorrow, but we are holding out hope that it might not. Either way, tomorrow we summit.
