We seem to have left the land of the wind turbines, but not the land of the wind. It blew hard and loud all night last night, and continued through the day today. It has cooled off quite a bit since just a few days ago, which made for nice hiking in the morning. We walked just over ten miles to the road to Lake Isabella, with views to the Sierra for most of the hike. In town, we went to the grocery store to get 2 days of food, then grabbed burritos for lunch and headed to the campground to take a shower and charge our electronics. We reunited with our friend DK, and we grabbed Subway and some wine to pack out and hopped on the bus back to the trailhead. We set up camp not far from the trailhead, ate dinner and drank wine and watched the full moon rise. How lucky are we?
