Paul seems to be recovered from his cold, but I am a day or two behind him, so I’ve been lagging today. It’s really hot out, in the mid-upper 90s and humid to boot. We got a ride to the state park a little before 11. We got dropped off about a mile back from where we got off yesterday, so we repeated our first mile of the day before hiking another 5 to a creek. We took advantage of the shade and cold water to escape the heat of the day, but the longer we stayed the less we wanted to leave. Since there was a great campsite near the creek, we decided to call it a day and catch up on some rest. We can make up the miles over the next few days. Totally worth it.
