Day 73: Trinity Alps

The scenery was beautiful today. Meadows, streams, wildflowers everywhere, interesting rocks, expansive views. There were clouds in the sky to shelter us from the sun much of the day as well. We hit trail magic in the morning and stopped for PB&J and some sodas. Shortly after we hit a cooler with hard boiled eggs and some other treats. Double magic! We ran into several groups of kids at summer camp, it’s definitely the weekend out here.

The ups and downs were shorter today, so we kept a good pace going. In the afternoon we passed our 1200 mile mark! After 27 miles we ran into a friend camped near a creek, so we stopped early for the night, with just 20 miles to town tomorrow.
