Day 78: Hello Oregon!

It was a marathon today, not just to get to Oregon but also to our halfway point! We have now hiked 1325 miles of the PCT. Somehow, going into a new state always means going uphill, and even Oregon was no exception, despite being the “flattest” state on the PCT. We met another hiker at camp last night who wanted to do his biggest day today. His previous record was a little over 25, so we hiked with him most of the morning and he made it to camp about an hour after we did. We celebrated a new state, his longest day and our halfway point. Tomorrow we get to Ashland!
