We haven’t seen any nobos (northbounders) on the trail since we left Oregon, but that doesn’t mean it’s empty out here. Aside from seeing tons of super clean backpacks (section hikers), we’ve been passing sobos all day. We passed over a dozen today.
Today was still mostly in the forest and continues to climb a little higher each day. We had great views to both Hood and Adams today. In the afternoon the trail was concerned with berries. Thimbleberries, huckleberries, and especially blueberries. We grazed all afternoon. It slowed us down a little bit, but I think the extra calories were helpful too. We walked 28.6 miles today. It got cool and windy this evening, we are definitely moving North.
Beautiful photos!
