After 8 miles of hiking this morning, we passed our 2,000 mile point. As of tonight, after a 26.8 mile day, we have 630 miles left to complete the trail, and just 261 miles until we hit Canada. Time is flying by, and the miles have been too. However we have definitely noticed the terrain getting steeper up here and the ups and downs have made our pace a bit slower. There are some rugged looking mountains ahead as well. We saw a few more people on trail today, and a few we’ve met before. Tomorrow morning we’re stopping in at Snoqualmie Pass, so we might see a few other hikers we know as well. The weather has been a little bit warmer the past few nights, I hope the trend continues.
