We spent the morning continuing through the land of lakes. We camped at a pond last night, had second breakfast at a lake this morning, first lunch at a stream and second lunch at another lake. We got our feet wet and washed up but didn’t go swimming this time. In the afternoon we entered the land of meadows. Suddenly we had great views of the Three Sisters and Mount Bachelor. We walked past lava flows, glacial streams, through meadows of flowers. It was a scenic day, and although the mosquitos are still out, they are not as extreme as a few days ago. We went a little over 30 miles today, and are camped just under South Sister.
