After almost five days without hiking, we were feeling a little stiff today. We had several thunderstorms in the night, but the tent was dry by morning fortunately. The clouds lingered, however, and the storms chased us all day. We had some light rain, some hard rain, and even some hail. There was thunder and lightning in the distance but luckily nothing too close. We hiked 25 miles today, and got to camp about 30 minutes before dark. We have noticeably less light now. The sun comes up an hour or more later and goes down an hour or so sooner, so we have less daylight to hike in as Autumn sets in.
