It was a long day today. We entered Desolation Wilderness where the PCT follows the Tahoe Rim Trail. We did get some nice views to Lake Tahoe, but the area is full of beautiful lakes. We had nicer weather today, but the storm clouds did gather in the afternoon and we were chasing the weather all the way to camp. In the afternoon we went over Dick’s Pass, our first time over 9,000 feet since we left the Sierra. The views from the top were amazing, and we made our way down past 3 more lakes to camp at Lake Aloha, after 28.5 miles of rocky ups and downs and with just enough light left to cook dinner. My body is beat up today!
