We spent most of the day today over 8,000 feet. There were lots of little ups and downs but nothing major, allowing us to acclimate to the higher elevations gradually. Views were spectacular all day, with something new every time we rounded a corner. We can tell we are back in California with all the frequent road crossings, an abrupt change from the remote terrain in Northern Washington. We’ll be in the remote high Sierra soon enough. We hiked 24.3 miles today, and stopped to camp early to enjoy the evening and have a campfire.
Pretty skies
Hi there! We were at Kennedy Meadows Resort yesterday on Sunday and spoke with your husband Paul. My husband and I are in complete awe of the two of you and your adventures. Good luck to you both and looking forward to your future comments, pictures and hoping to see you started the Continental Divide Trail!!
Thanks so much!!
