Day 146: Selden Pass

Today was a great day. The night was much warmer last night, we had a great sleep and even took the time for hot coffee this morning. We had a long and gradual uphill to reach Selden Pass. As we neared the top we slowed down to enjoy the scenery, and stopped for lunch at Mary Lake. We took a quick dip in the cold water and enjoyed the views of the pass. The afternoon was a long descent, and we entered King’s Canyon National Park. We are camped in a valley alongside the South Fork San Joaquin River. We had another campfire and are enjoying another relatively warm evening. We hiked 24.2 miles today.
