Knowing we had a slightly shorter day today than yesterday, and after our long day yesterday, we slept in a little bit today. The extra rest was nice.

It was a straight shot down highway 89 to Flagstaff, but we had a lot of uphill. Our knees are ready for a break after the past two days. Surprisingly, we had a pretty good shoulder for most of the ride, and overall pretty courteous drivers. We got some friendly waves and honks along the way.

We had some views of Mount Humphreys and the San Francisco peaks, but not for long in the building clouds. We got rained on a couple times, but again it was nothing extreme. The cool weather was actually quite nice for riding.

We arrived at our hotel around 5pm, remembering that this is Halloween when we saw people in costumes. We are ready for a rest day, and glad to be indoors before the storm has started.

Well, it rained in the night. We woke up to see it was windy and wet outside. When we did venture outdoors to run a couple errands, we were so glad that we are not riding today, and not sitting in our tent trying to stay dry.
The weather continued all day today, and will continue tonight, but it should be sunny and clear tomorrow. We planned out the reminder of our journey, all the way home! It feels weird how close we are!
