Days 22 and 23: A Nero and a Zero

We had a busy couple of days! We woke up early on Wednesday morning lured by rumors of pancakes at Newfound Gap. There were no pancakes, but there was trail magic! A local ladies hiking club had drinks, fruit, protein bars, little Debbie’s and more. Even better, the first Baptist Church of Sevierville had a free shuttle into town. We rode in for lunch in Gatlinburg, Paul got another pair of shoes before heading to Knoxville. There we took a full day off, running errands and getting resupplied and visiting. Somehow there is never enough time to get everything done, but we managed OK and got back on trail Friday morning.
