We had a half-day today, 13.9 miles to Burney Falls State Park. It was hot early this morning, and we were glad to be at the park by noon. We picked up our package there and hitched into Burney to do laundry and stay in a hotel for the night. We both have a cold right now, so a short day of hiking and some rest in a real bed couldn’t come at a better time. We got some Chinese food and Subway, ran some errands, and spent the afternoon relaxing and watching television.
