It was gloomy all night and this morning, still looking like it might rain. It never did, but it did get pretty muggy out today. The ups and downs were pretty easy, but no real summits or views so it all blended together a bit. Oregon has been a bit dry so far, with some stretches between reliable water sources. Fortunately tonight we are called at a shelter with water nearby. It’s really more of a snow shelter, but there is a picnic table here, a real luxury in the wilderness. We hiked a marathon today and both feel tired. It’s tough getting back into the groove after a few days in town.
