Maybe it’s the us and downs, maybe just the altitude, but today has left me sore and exhausted. We hiked about 28 miles, through beautiful scenery and views, climbing up over 9,000 feet and descending again, just to start a new climb. The wind blew cold for most of the day, so any time we stopped meant adding a layer and eventually stripping it back off once we got moving and warmed up again. We had a fire at camp tonight and went to bed early. It should be cold tonight.
