I thought that by this point on the trip, I had already reached my personal capacity for sweat, but clearly I was wrong, because today the bar was raised higher than ever. Nothing dries, everything is gross, and then there’s chafing. It was supposed to rain today but so far out hasn’t. Aside from the damp and heat, we’ve had some good climbs, and the scenery remains very pretty. We hiked another 17 mile day, getting to camp early enough for a fire and some downtime. Tomorrow we’ll resupply in Rutland.
