Only 380 miles to go! Today we hit the trail with loaded packs and went over Wolf Mountain. This terrain is rough! All day we were negotiating with boulders, mud fields (I think this is where Atreyu’s horse died in The Never Ending Story), exposed tree roots, and abrupt ups and downs. Our place has slowed dramatically already. Fortunately we were a little prepared for this and our plan is to take it slow the next few days. We saw several old faces today, people we haven’t seen for a thousand miles or so, and we had fun catching up. A fun but slow day today, and a tougher mountain tomorrow!
