I’m Megan, but my trail name is Sourstraws. My husband Paul’s trail name is Piñata. We’ve been married since 2013. In 2016 we completed a Northbound thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail (2,189 miles) and in 2017 we completed a flip-flop thru-hike of the Pacific Crest Trail (2,650 miles).
In 2018 we will set out once again, this time along the Continental Divide Trail. If we complete the trail, we will have completed the 3 longest hiking trails in this country. Click here to read more about the CDT and the Triple Crown of hiking.
As we prepare for the trail over the next few months, I will be posting updates about our gear changes and meal preparations, in addition to reviewing our gear from the PCT.
