Day 2: Rain

It didn’t rain in the night, and it wasn’t raining in the morning. It was a pretty warm night, and aside from a little soreness we were feeling pretty good. Most of the morning we hiked in the fog:

It started to mist but stayed fairly warm. We stopped at a shelter for lunch, and as we headed out again it started to rain. Paul thought it was great, and it was kind of nice for awhile. Then it started to pour. We hiked with wet feet for about 5 miles before we finally came to the Gooch Mountain shelter a little after 4. Still pouring, it was packed to the brim, and already over 10 tents set up. We set up quickly in the rain, and more people came. We changed into dry clothes and ate, which did a lot for our morale. We did 13 miles today, still no blisters but definitely tired and a little sore. Not many photos today because rain, but here are a few.
