About

Welcome, we’re Megan and Paul, but we’re known on the trail by our trail names Sourstraws and Pinata. 

We love human-powered travel and discovering the natural world. Together, we have backpacked over 8,000 miles, including the Triple Crown of Hiking: The Appalachian Trail, Pacific Crest Trail, and Continental Divide Trail. We left the working world for three years, slept outside over 400 nights, hitchhiked with more than a few questionable drivers, and met so many crazy and interesting people. 

We hope to encourage everyone to spend more time outside, and to make their adventure dreams a reality.
